The Ark 4-Seater Modular Sofa, designed by Simon Legald, showcases soft arches, plush cushions, and a lightweight base, making it a standout design within the Normann Copenhagen collection. Drawing inspiration from the Danish word for "arches," Ark gives the appearance of a cushioned-only sofa, exuding a warm and inviting aesthetic through its use of curves and generous proportions. Its design embraces simplicity and complexity, resulting in a striking expression that is simultaneously minimalistic and full of depth. The 4-seater version of this modular sofa is comprised of five modules: a Left Armrest module (100), two Centre modules (110), a Corner module (150), and a Right Armrest module (120). Ark is built using a spring system and a combination of high-density foam, low-density foam and wadding, all to provide maximum comfort. The frame rests on slender legs made from powder-coated steel, which elegantly lifts the sofa from the ground, making the design appear airy and light. This furniture series also includes an Armchair, 2-Seater Sofa, 3-Seater Sofa, and Individual Modules for creating a completely bespoke arrangement.
