With no odor and a ne utral flavor, arrowroot powder is ideal when needing to thicken custards, puddings, jellies, and sweet pie fillings. For best results when thickening soups, sauces, or stews, create a slurry with a 2:1 ratio of liquid to powder, and add at the end of your cooking time to avoid clumping. As a general rule of thumb, 1 tbsp of Arrowroot will thicken one cup of liquid.
