Ebony fittings include quality ebony fingerboard, pegs and endpin. Maple purfling and lime tree linings are intrinsic to the build and beauty of these foundation instruments. Several applications contribute to the finish which is produced by: water stain, aniline colours, water ground varnish and, finally, a spirit varnish coat to reach a high polish.
