An Art Moderne diamond engagement ring in two-tone 14k gold, a lot of style is packed into this petite piece. A shining (approximate) 0.20ct old European cut diamond is set in a sq uare head of white gold framed in yellow gold. The shoulders have an unusual architectural design, with bands of faceted white gold arching over sculpted yellow gold. A low gallery and curvaceous band complete the piece. Art Moderne developed out of 1920s Art Deco, accentuating Deco's architectural elements. It is a striking and dynamic style that creates very interesting jewelry. Circa 1930.
