As such, PLA is environmentally friendly, food-safe*, non-toxic, and can be recycled. We use FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) printers which means a thin line of printer filament (plastic) is deposited line-by-line to form this item. Visible lines in the item as well as a few imperfections are expected, and perfectly normal. We do not recommend leaving PLA in hot vehicles or in direct sunlight for extended periods of time. *While PLA is recognized as a "food-safe" polymer, FDM printing and the line-by-line printing process can be a potential vector for bacteria to grow.
