The surface texture has been altered slightly due to the printing process. Artisan has done an excellent job striking a balance. Preserving high print quality while retaining many of the fabric's original characteristics. However, it still differs from the standard Artisan FX Zero pads. The texture is more flattened, resulting in a noticeably smoother feel to the touch. While the change in glide is more subtle than the tactile difference, it does feel slightly smoother as well.
