Grape: Tempranillo, GracianoVintage: 2020Type: Red This single-vineyard red wine comes from the Finca de los Locos parcel, an elevated terrace situated high above the Ebro River in Baños de Ebro. Arturo and Kike de Miguel Blanco manage this site organically, where the vines struggle through poor, gravelly soils containing a high percentage of limestone. The blend incorporates eighty percent Tempranillo and twenty percent Graciano, co-fermented using native wild yeasts. It ages for sixteen months in neutral French oak barrels to refine its structure. It pours a dark ruby color, opening with expressive aromas of ripe black cherry, fresh plum, and wild rosemary. The medium-bodied palate is deep and structured, balancing dense fruit flavors with a serious, fine-grained tannin profile. Savory notes of damp earth and cracked black pepper blend into the dark berry core. A clean, central thread of mineral acidity cuts through the volume, maintaining excellent freshness.
