The Artysan Hera SPDIF cable is a precision 75-ohm digital coaxial interconnect handcrafted in Canada for audiophiles who want accurate, low-jitter digital transmission between CD transports, streamers, and DACs. A solid machined turquoise aluminum damping block, locking rhodium-plated RCA connectors with carbon-fibre barrels, and a high-density braided shield combine to eliminate timing errors and mechanical interference from the digital signal path. Available in 1.0 m, 2.0 m, and custom lengths. The Hi-Fi Centre Team TakeThe turquoise machined aluminum damping collar on the Hera SPDIF is the detail that sets it apart visually and acoustically. Placed at the cable's midpoint, it adds a precise mass-damping element that suppresses the micro-vibrations which can modulate a digital signal and introduce jitter — the kind of degradation that manifests as a subtle loss of timing precision and musical ease rather than obvious distortion. The locking rhodium-plated RCAs with carbon-fibre barrels ensure the terminations hold firm and stay clean over years of use. Together, these design choices reflect a genuine understanding that digital cables live in a physical world and need physical solutions. This is one of the more thoughtfully engineered digital cables at its price point.Key Acoustic & Design Features Machined Turquoise Aluminum Damping Block: Precision mass-damping collar suppresses micro-vibrations along the cable run, reducing jitter and preserving digital timing accuracy. Locking Rhodium-Plated RCA Connectors: Carbon-fibre barrels lock firmly onto equipment jacks, preventing contact variability and maintaining a corrosion-free electrical interface. 75-Ohm Impedance: Correct impedance matching for S/PDIF digital audio prevents reflections and signal degradation in the transmission path.
