Aruna — a pale golden button with a blush of red, named for the old word for the first light of dawn. On the work it warms the wood like early sun: body and glow, without the depth of the dark grades. An entirely new grade — never offered before. A premium super golden button from the Jeth harvest of the kusum tree has not been offered until this run. Made only for us from the 2026 Jeth harvest: the seedlac comes off the kusum tree — the same revered species behind the winter Kusmi grades — and carries a redder cast where Kusmi runs yellow. Sticklac is hand-selected for the finest source material, then ground, washed, and filtered again and again for purity. The entire offering is 100% from that single harvest, pressed in a single run of buttons. When it sells through, it's gone until the tree gives again.
