Asahi Mitsuya Cider Candy (三ツ矢サイダーキャンディ) 112g — a hard candy built around the taste of Mitsuya Cider, the Japanese lemonade-style soft drink. The bag is a four-flavour assortment: Mitsuya Cider, lemon, grape and peach. The cider-flavoured pieces contain a fizzing powder, so they crackle as they dissolve. About Asahi Group Foods Asahi Group Foods, Ltd. (アサヒグループ食品株式会社) is the Asahi Group's confectionery and health-foods company, established in July 2015 and headquartered in Sumida-ku, Tokyo. It makes this candy under the Mitsuya name; the Mitsuya Cider trademark itself belongs to Asahi Soft Drinks, the separate Asahi company that makes the drink. What Mitsuya Cider is "Cider" (サイダー, saidā) in Japan does not mean apple cider — it is a clear, sweet, lemon-lime style carbonated soft drink, with no alcohol. Mitsuya Cider is the best-known name in that category, and this candy is the confectionery version of that flavour.
