Description The Petzl Ascension is an ascender with a handle, popular with climbers, mountaineers, cavers and rope-access workers for their ergonomic shape, efficiency and ease of use. The cam design minimizes friction with sliding the ascender along the rope, while the angled teeth provides a secure grip in wet, icy or muddy conditions. Features: Dual density grip for greater friction and better grip. Grip is wider at the bottom for greater comfort and in use. Index finger indent has also been increased offering greater efficiency when pulling on the ascender. Efficient cam design to allow it to slide along a rope, while the teeth proves secure grip in all conditions. Geometry of the single piece, aluminium frame optimises the handle orientation when the device is loaded. Safety catch allows the ascension cam to be installed or removed anywhere on the rope with one hand, even when wearing gloves.
