Aspenglow was dreamed up as a piece of pure comfort and coziness. Named after the glow on mountaintops at dusk, the sweater was inspired by evenings at the ski chalets after a long day outside. Aspenglow wraps its wearer in the warmest hug and whispers tales of cozy nights by the fire. Unusual construction makes knitting the piece very enjoyable and requires minimal finishing. The roomy body of the sweater, combined with the fitted sleeves, makes it a great layering piece. The alternating stitch patterns offer the perfect “just one more row” kind of knitting experience. This design combines familiar textures of garter, classic and reverse stockinette with an extra pop of Estonian braids and a contemporary take on Fair Isle, all polished off with 2x2 ribbed edgings.
