The balance of malty backbone with plum, grape, and cocoa notes reflects both terroir and careful cultivation since 1898. Can I brew this Assam tea with milk?Yes. This blend is sturdy and bold enough to stand up beautifully to milk and sugar, making it an excellent choice for traditional British-style afternoon tea, while still offering enough nuance to enjoy black. Why does Assam tea have that distinctive malty flavor?Assam's warm, humid climate and unique soil composition create ideal growing conditions that naturally develop the characteristic malty notes you'll find in this estate tea. What does the name "Jamguri" mean? The estate's name translates to "place of the Jamun tree," honoring the Java plum trees native to the region where this tea grows.
