The Madison Avenue Advertising Firm of Wells, Rich Greene was hired by New York state to create an ad campaign that would help revitalize the city. Enter, Milton Glaser a designer well known for his work celebrating arts and culture and credited with founding New York Magazine with Clay Felker in 1968. An image, scribbled on the back of a napkin while riding in a taxi would become Glaser's most famous design and New York City's most iconic symbol. Show more
