The plakat (short-fin) form gives these bettas a more compact, powerful look and increased activity compared to long-fin types. Known for their personality and interaction, plakat bettas are excellent centrepiece fish for nano aquariums or display tanks. Their shorter fins make them stronger swimmers and less prone to fin damage. Like all male bettas, they are territorial and should be housed alone. Provide warm, stable water, gentle filtration, and resting spots near the surface for best results.
