Description Gino Sarfatti’s table lamp Model 548 emits both reflected and diffused illumination from an adjustable spotlight directed up toward its reflecting screen. His 1951-era design posits a large diffuser in methacrylate above the white-painted spotlight that is mounted on a stem in polished or burnished brass, with a smaller brass bar at the base acting as a counterweight. Now reissued by Astep, Model 548 has been thoughtfully updated with an LED light source replacing the original incandescent bulb and a discretely integrated dimmer switch.
