ASTERION - Eyeshadow ASTERION, from the Minotaur Menagerie collection. THE MINOTAUROS (or Minotaur) was a bull-headed monster born to Queen Pasiphae of Krete, daughter of the Sun God Helios. As punishment for some offence against the gods committed either by herself or her husband, she was cursed with the desire to be coupled with the king's finest bull. The Queen conscripted the great artisan Daidalos to assist her in the endeavour, and he built for her a hollow wooden cow, wrapped in a bovine skin and endowed with mechanical life. Hiding herself inside this contraption she conceived and bore a hybrid child, the bull-headed Minotauros. The creature resided in the twisting maze of the labyrinth, built by Daidalos, where he was offfered a regular sacrifice of seven youths and seven maids to satisfy his cannibalistic hunger. He was eventually destroyed by the hero Theseus with the help of King Minos' daughter, Ariadne. The Minotauros' proper name Asterion, "the starry one," suggests he was associated with the constellation Tauros. (SOURCE) Color Description: A vivid teal blue with strong gold to chartreuse color traveling reflects. (Although you can't see in these shots, the shimmer in this is a very unique and vibrant yellow gold to chartreuse color shifting sparkle, which lends a truly starry appearance to the vividness of the vibrant teal with gold shifting base. This shade is a beauty and there's nothing like it in the Aromaleigh catalog this intense and starry!) ** A primer or base is highly recommended with this shade, as it contains dyes which can cause staining on your skin. This formula is "semi loose" and features added ingredients for adhesion and wear, which also intensify the color shifts and make it easier to wear and blend over both bare skin and a variety of primers. Your eyeshadow will not arrive in "little balls" like some semi-loose formulas do, but it may be more difficult to get through the sifter holes. Sifters are easily removed. As always, I recommend a regular cream base such as NYX cream eyeshadow base.
