Astrid holds a Diplôme in International Economics and passed her baccalaureate in Paris with Mention Très Bien. She has lived and taught around the world and has spent many years tutoring French and Spanish using a Montessori-informed, mastery-based approach that meets students where they are and advances them only once they have truly mastered each level. She homeschooled her own children and has experience supporting both gifted learners and students with learning differences, including managing IEPs and adapting lessons so students stay engaged without feeling pushed. Her lessons weave language with culture, helping learners connect vocabulary and grammar to real places and traditions across the Spanish- and French-speaking world. Families appreciate her patience, practical strategies, and knack for making language learning interactive and meaningful. She treasures a handmade book families gave her as the most meaningful recognition of her work and, when she is not teaching, she spends time painting, enjoying chocolate, and cuddling her basset hound Pluto.
