That was also the case on this particular morning on the Amboseli lake-bed, when I came across this mating couple. The male demonstrated caution in safeguarding the female, whereas the female expressed curiosity and calmness. This image therefore demonstrates the duality in every lion’s soul. One second as calm as a Buddha, the next all hell breaks loose, which is why wild animals can never be tamed. They are true wild spirits, free as wind. Therefore, this image serves as a testament to the fee soul and wild spirit of nature.
