Classic cream paper for drawing Our Atelier Drawing Book is an upgraded version of the classic drawing pad. Instead of one floppy back cover, our book includes two heavyweight covers — you can even draw standing up. Instead of the wire binding that gets squished and deformed, we've used an extra-heavy-gauge, solid aluminum coil that travels better and stays in shape. Inside, you'll find top-shelf, cream-colored drawing paper with medium texture. All dry media work beautifully on Atelier Drawing; we especially like it with graphite, as the paper lends itself well to both layering and erasing. Even more impressive: this book can handle all kinds of pens and ink, too! We tested it with our fountain pens and dip pens, and got great performance across the board. For one of our studio tests with this book, Curt drew a highly detailed ink portrait with lots of hatching; not one bit of ink bled through. The Atelier Drawing Book measures 5.8" x 8.3" and is bound on the short side. Each book has a generous 50 sheets of midweight (80 lb. / 120 gsm) drawing paper in cream color. 100% made in the United States, including all paper and components.
