The Atlas sleeps three. A full UK double on the bottom, big enough for two children to share or for a parent to lie down and settle a younger one at bedtime, with a standard single on top. Built in solid pine with 75mm posts and finished in white, it suits a shared room, a growing family, or a house that needs somewhere for everyone to sleep at Christmas. When the bunk years are over it separates into two freestanding beds, a single and a double, and carries on being useful. At 159cm high it suits rooms with sloping ceilings and makes the top bunk less of a climb. The angled ladder has wide treads and sits at the end of the bed rather than the side. Both levels have solid slatted bases, so there's no divan or box spring to buy for either mattress. The Atlas arrives flat-packed in four boxes, 116kg in total, in 2 to 5 working days. It's a two-person build and you should allow a couple of hours. If you'd rather someone else did it, there's a link to book a local assembler below the returns policy. It takes two mattresses. The top bunk takes a UK single, 90cm by 190cm, and its guard rail is designed around a mattress no deeper than 15cm. That figure is a safety measurement, not a suggestion: a deeper mattress raises the sleeping surface and leaves less rail above it. The bottom bunk takes a UK double, 135cm by 190cm, with 77.4cm of clearance to the bunk above, so a shallower mattress leaves more room to sit up. The mattresses shown above are matched to both levels, and the MemoryDream 15 is the one we'd put on each. Features & Benefits Sleeps three.
