I did this hand-drawn map of Auckland in the summer of 2023, when we decided to try our markets in the big city. This is my first map of a big city with many details. I like to play with perspectives, and this is one of the views I like mostโthe places we visited as tourists. The Skytower, the CBD, the waterfront, the docks, the bridge, the view of the city with the vessels, even the America's Cup boats. I like to find a view and start with the sketches. Once I've got the big sketch, I start adding all the details with a pen. When I finish the drawing, I add colour with a digital pen to every little window.
