A form that has been refined across centuries and arrived here, in ivory fabric and dark cord, as something entirely new. The Aurevon is a lantern, but a lantern that has forgotten nothing of where that form comes from, and remembers all of it at once. The silhouette is the Aurevon's story. Wider at the belly, pinching inward at the waist, scalloping outward again at the hem, a form that references Moroccan lanterns, East Asian paper shades, and the organic geometry of something designed by instinct rather than rule. Every edge is finished in a dark cord trim that traces the silhouette precisely, giving the pale fabric a definition it could not have achieved alone.The brass stem runs through the centre of the shade, threading it in place between a walnut bead above and another below, the two spheres sitting on the rod like quiet full stops in the composition. The brass canopy at the crown is small and considered. Everything about the Aurevon draws the eye downward to the shade, to the cord, to the beads, to the warm pool of light that falls from the hem and spreads across the surface below.In a range of considerable variety, the Aurevon is the piece with the deepest sense of cultural reference — and the lightest touch in how it carries it.
