Austria's mountainous terrain forces their military to collaborate extensively with the hiking and outdoors industry. The Austrian mountain pant is one such collaboration and is es sentially a military "trekking pant." Looser and lighter than the standard-issue M75, the mountain issue pant is designed to allow nearly unrestricted movement in difficult terrain. Our batch comes from multiple manufacturers and is split between ripstop and non-ripstop models.Both fabric options are comfortable, lightweight, and quick-drying — the choice between them is largely aesthetic. The ripstop version is slightly thinner and has a visible "checkering" characteristic in its construction.
