Adjustable Cable Clamp We include crimped on cable clamps for the steel braided aircraft cable that connects the solenoid to your door release mechanism but installing a crimped on clamp is a one-time shot, get it wrong and your left looking for a new clamp. By using a set of adjustable clamps gives you the freedom to perfect the operation of your door release mechanism by allowing you to fine tune the cable length. Cables which are attached with crimp on connectors do not allow that adjustment to be made. A shaved door handle kit will allow you to remove your exterior door handles on your truck or car and replace the exterior mechanism with solenoids that will operate the latch and then use a remote to operate them from outside of the vehicle.
