Holly Pester’s debut novel which explores the difficulties of tentative living arrangements against the backdrop of Britain's ongoing housing crisis. A woman returns to the small English town she grew up in, to live in a new-build flat overlooking her mother's house. Living in a precarious sub-let, she is always on edge. In Sam Johnson-Schlee’s radical and elegiac book, he invites readers to consider the dreams and fantasies we have about our homes, and their underlying reality.Both authors live in North Essex.
