One stroke of the racking cane/piston assembly will start a siphon when immersed in as little as six inches of beer or wine; less than six inches may require a second stroke. Auto Siphon includes a removable diverter tip to minimize sediment pickup. Plastic construction; can be disassembled for cleaning. NOTE: It is highly recommended that you use 7/16" ID tubing with the 1/2" Auto-Siphon. Simply dip the tubing in warm water to soften it enough to slip over the end.
