That being said, very few of these wristwatches were produced in stainless steel; most were produced in gold or plated gold. Here, we have a handsome example of a simple, time-only stainless steel model from the 1960s. This watch is a perfect 36mm size, which gives it a timeless look that transcends trends. It features a nice, clean dial layout with minimal text and no luminous material, yet, in contrast, the bracelet showcases a unique build and texture that provides subtle visual interest. Notably, the half Omega flat link-esque, half AP Royal Oak-esque bracelet has been signed by the brand, which is less common and makes this watch particularly special. The hexagonal caseback indicates that the watch was manufactured and sold as waterproof, and the impeccably preserved dial (and pristine movement) prove that it upheld that designation admirably. The case is strong with scratches and a few light nicks – we believe the case to be unpolished. The underside of the lugs shows some scratches from strap changes over the years. The top of the lugs have some light scratches and brushing. The caseback signature is crisp as is the reference number. The dial is in great condition with patina throughout. Overall the dial tone appears creamy off-white. The hour markers and hands have developed light patina. The bracelet is in excellent condition with little wear and stretch to the links when left unstressed. There are some scratches on the crystal. The dial, crown, case, movement, and bracelet are all signed by Ulysse Nardin. This watch was photographed on a 175mm/6.9inch wrist.
