Ice-queen synth-punk crafted with sheer attention to detail and near perfection of its genre tropes. Bass and drums played by real human hands help to buoy the chill girl harmonies and bouncy, buzzy synth layers from the dancefloor up towards the atmosphere. There's a dearth of big, memorable choruses that may be intentional -- otherwise the album displays songwriting chops and variety inside its narrowly defined lane. Cold, intimate, plugged in, and shiny. Plus they've got a kick drum that's been triggered so often, it's literally melting down in front of your eyes.
