Substrate sold separately. Mix and Match Pot Types Run 1Pot, XL, and GeoPot modules on the same tubing line from a single reservoir. Each module's AQUAvalve5 controls watering independently per tray. Black or White Pots (1Pot) The 1Pot module (2.2g and 3.9g) is available in black or white. White pots reflect more light and run cooler in warm grow spaces. GeoPot Modules Include PotSock GeoPot expansion modules come with a PotSock Round that must be fitted over the fabric pot before placing it in the tray. This prevents roots from growing into the AQUAvalve. Drain the tubing line if possible to avoid spills when cutting in. 2 Cut into the existing line Cut the 3/8" tubing at the point where you want to add the new pot. Insert the included 3/8" tee connector. Use the 1/2" to 3/8" tee if your main line is 1/2" pipe. 3 Set up the new tray Place the tray and lid where you want the new pot. Install the AQUAvalve5 through the grommeted tray hole. Add root control material, drainage layer (or AirBase), and substrate. 4 Connect and restart Run the included 3/8" pipe from the tee to the new tray's AQUAvalve. Open the inline tap and let the system fill the new tray. Transplant when the tray is full. Questions Frequently asked questions Can I add an XL module to a standard 1Pot system? Yes. All AutoPot modules use the same AQUAvalve5 and connect with the same 3/8" tubing. You can mix 1Pot, XL, and GeoPot modules on a single reservoir line. Each tray's AQUAvalve controls watering independently, so different pot sizes don't interfere with each other. How many modules can I add to one reservoir? There's no hard limit on modules per reservoir, but your reservoir needs to be large enough to keep up. A 12.4 gallon Hard Tank handles up to about 6 pots. A 25 gallon FlexiTank handles 6 to 9. For larger setups, a 60 or 105 gallon tank gives you headroom. The real constraint is refill frequency, not system capacity. Does the module include substrate? No. Modules include the tray, pot, valve, connectors, tubing, and root control material. You supply your own substrate, drainage layer or AirBase, and any amendments. Use the same mix as the rest of your system for consistency. Why do GeoPot modules include a PotSock but 1Pot modules don't? Fabric pots allow roots to grow through the pot walls and into the tray, which can clog the AQUAvalve. The PotSock wraps around the outside of the fabric pot and contains root growth within the pot. Plastic pots don't have this issue because the rigid walls contain roots on their own. 1Pot modules include a root control disc instead, which goes at the bottom of the pot. Can I add a module mid-grow? Yes, but you'll need to briefly shut off the inline tap to cut into the tubing line and insert the tee connector. It takes a few minutes. The existing pots won't be affected as long as their trays have water in them during the interruption. What if my module arrives damaged or defective?
