About the photo: Smoky Mountains - North Carolina Why is Fall everyone’s favorite season? Is it the changing seasons and cool weather or the contented and calming feeling it gives off? Or is it the promise of new beginnings on the horizon? Whatever the reason, it was why I found myself strolling through the Great Smoky Mountains looking for a photo that would encompass Fall’s desire. It is by far my favorite season, from the colors of the leaves to the smell of the forest and even the cooling temperatures, I love every bit of it and it was out in force that day. As I hiked, looking for that unique scene that would encapsulate everything, I found myself drawn to a simple waterfall. There was something about the way the water cascaded down the rocks. It wasn’t aggressive like some but calm and contended. It perfectly represented the season. But it was missing something... As I took it all in, I noticed a branch of changing leaves hanging just above it. It was exactly what the photo needed. The accent gave the perfect touch to the photo. A beautiful representation of all that Fall represents! Printing Information: Images are infused into specially coated surfaces, providing the most durable and longest lasting print medium. Sublimation metal also offers the highest fade resistance compared to every other photo medium. Dye-sublimation printing is a computer printing technique which uses heat to transfer dye onto many materials. In order to transfer the image from the paper to the aluminum, it requires a heat press process that is a combination of time, temperature and pressure. The heat press applies this special combination, to “transfer” the sublimation dyes at the molecular level into the aluminum. The images are fade resistant- the latest testing shows they will last a lifetime with resistance to yellowing and climate damage. They are chemical resistant- the surfaces can be cleaned with ammonia, bleach, acetone or any all-purpose cleaner. The images are also moisture resistant. The aluminum is .045" thick and is finished with a float mount on the back for hanging. The Aluminum panels are lightweight, durable, and made with recycled material and 100% recyclable.
