Everything is winding down, arriving at its winter resting season. Seeds fall from stalks, creating a blanket of food for native birds across the ground and sowing themselves deeply in preparation for winter rains. This mixed media piece is inspired by the warm glows of autumn and the hoppy little birds outside my windows who are out of their minds for abundance of seeds that are theirs for the taking. “Autumn Grass” is a framed 11”x14” original painting. It has been sealed and varnished to protect the work from dust, scratches, and UV light, making it a piece that will last a lifetime. The paint and varnish wrap all the way around the sides, top, and bottom of the canvas so that you can enjoy the texture and color of this piece from any angle should you ever choose to remove it from the frame.
