Solderless setup with all required wiring available here. This is a set of high output humbucking Stratocaster pickups. The neck and middle are wound to a moderate output to allow you to tap into vintage territory, but with enough beef to overdrive the front end of an amp when pushed and to not be drowned out by the bridge. The moderate output retains single coil like feel and quack in the middle positions. They're like Strat singles on steroids. The bridge is blisteringly hot - having nothing in common with a normal Stratocaster pickup. Wound to an eye watering 19k Ohms, this will howl when even a little overdrive or distortion is added. The tone of this powerhouse is distant from a single coil, and has it's feet firmly in the humbucker family. The advantage of having a single coil over a humbucker however is still apparent, any articulate runs down the fretboard will instantly reveal how much of a difference the smaller magnetic and sensory windows to the strings makes. The bass will be sharper than a knife, and will have absolutely no problem at all cutting through a busy band mix. These are slightly taller than the typical single coil - 23mm tall including the output cables. Check your guitar has space to accommodate this before purchasing. It is recommended to switch your potentiometers to 500k for use with these, as they are humbuckers.
