Easy to use Design The new Ballast base from Oxford Plastics is a simple solution to the problem of barriers falling over in high winds. The Ballast Base is a modified Oxford Plast ics StrongWall base which has had the ends adapted so that an Avalon barrier can easily slot into the top of the base securely adding extra ballast to the barrier. Extra Ballast The Ballast Base adds 18kg of Ballast to the Avalon barrier which makes it acceptable to use in Class C winds up to 19.5mph. If you require more ballast for Class B (38.4mph) or A (58.8mph) wind speed then we recommend adding sandbags. No Hassle Solution The Ballast base is a hassle free solution, most other barrier stabilisers have longer setup times or require another ballast to be added where as the ballast base is self-weighted so no need for adding sand / soil.
