Avastha 80 × 80 cmOil on canvas2025 While studying meditation, I was guided to focus intently on my breath for some time, then once it felt like real progess was being made to stay focuse, the instruction to 'make no effort' was given, and in an instant, i found myself in this landscape. After some time had passed, I heard the word 'Avastha; echo through the space. At the time i did not know what it meant. My teacher encourage me to simple 'just say wow'. Years later I researched the word and found it referes to three states of mind or awareness, the casual state, the state of fruition, and the state of working for the benefit of all sentient beings. 1 of 1 Show more
