An Avatar Betta is a variety of betta distinguished by its short fins, deep metallic blue-green or dark black coloration, and vibrant, iridescent scales. As a short-finned (Plakat) variety, it is more agile and less prone to fin damage than long-finned types. The Domestic Betta is quite different than its wild counterparts.
