A visual Interpretation of Franz Schubert’s Ave Maria, where the notes have been translated into colour. Each colour represents a musical note, whether it be played on the piano or sung, as in this case here, because the music score used as reference, was written for both piano and voice. The voice part is identified by the shorter radials of colour, overlayed onto the piano notes. This piece is a digital, pigment drawing, printed on a highly, durable metal called ChromaLuxe. It is the very first circular piece I have created and based on the longest music score I have translated to date. The finish is a contemporary gloss and is easily cared for using a lint free cloth and any standard cleaning product. Show more
