We do not add them because we believe they generally do more harm than good. Therefore, it is logical that ignition sources should be kept safely away from any pillow that contains natural materials without the use of chemical flame retardants.) Allow to dry completely before putting the cover back on your pillow. Fluff your pillow regularly; an excellent time to do so is when you make your bed in the morning. Additional refill packages can be purchased in two convenient sizes. LAW LABEL A law label is a legally required tag or label on a new mattress or pillow describing interior filling materials. Few companies will share this information before your purchase because it separates fact from marketing hype. We believe differently. Here is what the legal tag on the standard Avocado Green Pillow says: Made in California with domestic and imported material. Internal materials (based on weight) consisting of Latex Foam (70%) and Kapok Fiber (30%), plus a fabric cover comprised of Organic Cotton (97%) and Elastane (3%). Read Our Law Label CLIMATE NEUTRAL CERTIFIED As a Climate Neutral Certified company since 2019, we've measured Avocado's annual cradle-to-consumer emissions, offset them by investing in climate change solutions, and started taking real action to reduce our emissions. We also recognize our offsets and reductions aren't enough. Solving climate change will require systemic solutions. That's why, through our partnerships with Ceres and the American Sustainable Business Network, we also advocate for state and federal policies that support equitable solutions to the climate crisis. PROJECT ZERO WASTE We're proud to be certified by UL Solutions for a landfill diversion rate of 85%. That means only 15% of our manufacturing waste ends up in the landfill — we upcycle or recycle the rest. Since we began Project Zero Waste in 2020, we've been a pioneer in the space, increasing our waste diversion rate by 33%. We are the first mattress and bedding company to achieve this. But we aren't done yet. Our goal is at least a 90% diversion rate.
