Hass are a very popular variety and produce a large avocado with a mid-green bumpy skin. They tend to be a heavy cropper and the fruit are deliciously creamy. The skin on a Hass avocado will darken into a deep brown as it ripens. Hass is an A variety, growing with a B variety may be advantageous but is not a necessity.
