The numbers and their likely references are: #9 (Yankees) - Roger Maris: Known for breaking Babe Ruth’s single-season home run record in 1961 with 61 home runs. #39 (Dodgers) - Roy Campanella: A Hall of Fame catcher and one of the most influential players in Dodgers history. #21 (Pirates) - Roberto Clemente: A Hall of Famer and legendary outfielder, celebrated for his hitting, defense, and humanitarian work. #15 (Yankees) - Thurman Munson: The Yankees' beloved captain and catcher, remembered for his leadership and clutch performances. Baird’s artwork beautifully intertwines baseball history with artistic homage, capturing the enduring legacy of these players and their teams.
