Forge, grind and handle a small axe for your wood carving or kindling needs. The head weight of the finished axe is about 600g and the handle length is about 350mm One day axe maki ng class is hosted at the Mt Albert workshop. Classes start at 8.30 am and usually run until 4pm. Lunch is provided. Much of the forging in this class will be done under a hydrualic press and power hammer to make it accessable to a wider range of physical abilities. Participants will be required to do some forging with a sledge hammer. This class is restricted to people over 18 years old. Reserve your place by selecting a date from the calendar checkout.
