Axiom Eclipse Envy 3 | 3 | 0 | 2 The Axiom Eclipse Envy is widely regarded as the premier night-golf disc on the planet, delivering an incredible combination of high-intensity glow and dependable overstable performance. By infusing premium glow material into the central flight plate and wrapping it in a solid outer overmold rim, this version provides a slightly stiffer hand feel and a noticeably beefier flight than day-glow runs. It stands up to full-power drives off the tee pad without a hint of high-speed turn, making it a reliable favorite in the Axiom Envy lineup and a vital addition to your throwing putters collection. Flight Numbers Marked at 3 | 3 | 0 | 2, the Eclipse Envy sits firmly on the overstable end of the flight spectrum. The shallow rim profile cuts through the air cleanly, dropping aerodynamic drag to carry further than deep-dish putters. When thrown flat with high arm speed, it maintains a laser-straight path through the high-speed portion of its flight before finishing with a stout, heavy low-speed fade that fights its way down to the basket even in a headwind. Speed Glide Turn Fade 3 3 0 2 The Eclipse Envy delivers: Industry-Leading Glow Intensity: Charges instantly under a UV light and holds a bright, long-lasting glow to make tracking night shots effortless. Stiff, High-Torque Performance: Rigid premium plastic that resists twisting under power, keeping your releases exceptionally clean. Stout Late-Flight Fade: Features a more aggressive finishing bite than stock day-glow premium runs, giving you total control over your placement. It excels at: Sanctioned glow tournaments and casual night rounds where maximum visibility on the fairway is required. Hard flat tee shots through narrow wooden tunnels that demand an absolute guarantee against turning over. Short, controlled flex shots that need to fight out of an anhyzer angle and fade back flat near the pin. The Eclipse Plastic Advantage The main reason disc golfers gravitate toward the Eclipse run is its premium durability combined with exceptional low-light functionality. This semi-translucent blend features a smooth, firm feel with an outer overmold edge that absorbs the impact of direct tree hits without nicking or losing its shape. Eclipse runs are known for being noticeably more overstable out of the box than other plastic configurations, meaning they season at an incredibly slow rate. Your Eclipse Envy will hold onto its overstable finishing profile for years of heavy course use, making it an incredibly reliable workhorse. How the Envy Fits in the Axiom Lineup Vs the Axiom Electron Envy: The Electron blend uses a soft, chalky baseline plastic that seasons fast, transforming into a straight, zero-fade flyer. The Eclipse version is a durable premium run built to maintain its beefy, overstable finish over the long haul. Vs the Axiom Neutron Envy: While standard Neutron is opaque and offers great stock stability, the glow-infused Eclipse runs come out of the cooling process slightly stiffer and offer a more aggressive bite at the end of the flight path. Vs the Discraft Zone: While a pure overstable utility disc like the Discraft Zone dumps hard and early, the Eclipse Envy carries significantly more forward glide down the fairway before its late fade engages, making it much more versatile off the tee box. Yes, universally. The specific cooling process and additives used to make the premium plastic glow create a slightly more rigid flight plate. This stiffness prevents the disc from flexing under high power, resulting in a slightly beefier flight path and a harder late-flight fade than standard Neutron or Proton versions. What is the best way to charge the glow on an Eclipse disc? A portable UV flashlight is the gold standard. Shining a UV light directly onto the flight plate for 10 to 15 seconds will fully activate the glow material, providing a bright illumination that remains easily visible for the duration of a standard fairway hole. Does the outer overmold rim glow as well? On stock Eclipse runs, the glowing material is located inside the central core flight plate, while the outer overmold rim features a solid, non-glowing accent color. This design creates a sharp visual contrast in the air during night rounds, making it very clean to track downrange. Looking for a different variation?
