Axxess AXTC-FD1 Ford Total Control Interface with Steering Wheel Control for Factory Radio Upgrades Upgrade your Ford factory radio system while retaining essential vehicle features with the Axxess AXTC-FD1 Total Control Interface. Designed for select 2007-2022 Ford, Lincoln, Mazda, and Mercury vehicles, this vehicle-specific data interface provides a complete solution for installing an aftermarket radio while maintaining important factory functions, including steering wheel controls, accessory power, Retained Accessory Power (R.A.P.), balance and fade controls, and vehicle data integration. The AXTC-FD1 is designed for both amplified and non-amplified audio systems and excludes Sony/THX factory systems. The AXTC-FD1 combines Axxess Total Control technology with built-in steering wheel control integration, allowing users to retain factory steering wheel audio controls after replacing the original radio. The interface supports dual assignment of steering wheel control buttons, giving installers the flexibility to customize button functions and create a more personalized driving experience. Featuring Auto-Detect technology, the AXTC-FD1 automatically identifies the vehicle type, radio connection, and preset control settings to simplify programming and installation. Compatible with major aftermarket radio brands, the interface can also be manually programmed for additional customization while preserving settings even after battery disconnection or interface removal. The AXTC-FD1 provides 12-volt 10-amp accessory power and retains Retained Accessory Power (R.A.P.) after replacing the factory radio. It also provides navigation outputs, including parking brake, reverse, and speed sense signals, along with a 12-volt illumination output for compatible multimedia receivers. An included 5-volt factory amplifier step-down supports applications requiring amplifier integration. Designed to maintain a factory-style experience after a radio upgrade, the AXTC-FD1 helps retain balance and fade controls where supported while providing reliable communication between the vehicle and aftermarket receiver. Its Micro-B USB update capability and nonvolatile memory make future updates, servicing, and installation adjustments easier. Before purchasing, vehicle compatibility should always be verified. The AXTC-FD1 fits select Ford, Lincoln, Mazda, and Mercury applications from 2007-2022, depending on the vehicle model, factory equipment, and audio system configuration. Compatible applications include select Ford Edge, Escape, Expedition, Explorer, F-Series, Focus, Fusion, Mustang, Transit, Mazda Tribute, Mercury Mariner, and Milan models.
