Some Hardcore bands draw their inspiration from living in the suburbs, others follow the footsteps of their predecessors and some are influenced by their experiences while touring. AYS from Wegberg Germany fall into the latter category, but with an interesting twist. On their new record the five-piece combine the personal experiences of frontman & graphics designer Schommer on his many travels to Asia with the touring the band did on said continent. The result is a crushing journey through gritty and doom-influenced Hardcore. An impressive testimony of how beneficial it can be to leave the comfort zone of Western living behind. The record was recorded at the Amsterdam Recording Studio by Igor Wouters (Ex-Madball, Born From Pain, Gold) and mastered at West West Side Studio in New York.
