At the turn of the 16th century, King Manuel I commissioned Portugal’s greatest artisans to construct grandiose buildings. After completing the palaces of Evora and Sintra, the king sought to build a summer pavilion to honour the most famous members of the royal family — but he died before construction ever began.In Azul: Summer Pavilion, players return to Portugal to accomplish the task that was never started. As a master artisan, you use the finest materials to build the pavilion while carefully avoiding waste. Over six rounds you draft colourful tiles and place them on your board to score points, with each of the six tile colours becoming wild during one of the rounds. Surround pillars, statues and windows to earn bonus tiles, complete stars for end-game bonuses, and avoid wasting supplies. Only the best will rise to honour the Portuguese royal family.
