One of our most popular modern patterns and one of Hermione's personal favourites this pattern is made of straight lines but don't be put off - quilting machines want to go in straight lines, provided those lines are only vertical and horizontal. The trick with this pattern is to aim for the corners in the lines and just let the machine go straight without trying to hold it exactly to the marking - just stop when it's time to change direction.
