The use of this kit allows you to change from the factory Honda mag sensors in the distributor to a more precise digital signal from this sensor. Many aftermarket ECUs read the Hall signal much better than they do the OEM signal from the distributor. Most experience a smoother idle & much smoother power at higher RPM. This also allows complete removal of the factory distributor when a multi-channel CDI box & individual coils are used with it. If you want to keep a single channel ignition box & the distributor, then this setup can still be used. These signals are on the input side of the ecu, while the ignition system is on the output.
