About This REVERSIBLE COMBINATION VISE SYSTEM: The Yost Vises 880-D2 8-inch Reversible Combination Vise System is a fusion of a pipe and bench vise. Made from heavy-duty 65,000 psi ductile iron castings. Has two large anvils with dimensions of 4.1” X 4 “(Upper) and 8" x 3.25" (Lower). The lower anvil converts to a product support shelf when reversing front jaw. Has a replaceable top jaw (Serrated and Reversible to Smooth) and serrated pipe jaws made of hardened steel. TECHNICAL SPECS: Jaw Width 8" (20.32 cm), Jaw Opening 8.5" (21.59 cm) when Reversed 12.5" (31.75 cm), Throat Depth 4.75" (12.065 cm) when Reversed 3.25" (8.255 cm), Min Pipe Capacity .125" (0.3175 cm), Max Pipe Capacity 4.5" (11.43 cm). SWIVEL BASE: Interlocking Swivel Base 360-degree motion equipped with 2 lockdowns. Has continuous rolled main screw thread and balled screw handle supplied with safety rubber washers. HOW TO USE: Make sure vise is securely mounted to the workbench and the swivel base lock is secure. Open the vise by turning the vise handle counterclockwise. Place item between the serrated jaws. Close the vise by turning the vise handle clockwise until the item is snug in the serrated jaws, continue to tighten until you can no longer move item. Don't over tighten as this may damage item and or the vise. When finished working on the item, turn screw handle counterclockwise to release the item.
