About This Daily's Acerola Cherry: Acerola cherry is a tropical shrub or small tree also known as Barbados cherry, West Indian cherry, or Crepe Myrtle. Acerola is native to South A merica, southern Mexico and Central America. Acerola is extremely rich in vitamin C, but also provides vitamins A, B1, B2 & B3 as well as carotenoids and bioflavonoids. Daily’s all natural Acerola C is derived entirely from Acerola cherry concentrate. A small amount of vanilla is added for flavor. Stearic acid (a natural vegetable oil) and sorbitol are added for moisture protection. Acerola C can be chewed or swallowed, and has a pleasant, tart flavor.
