About This MatchaBar Ceremonial Grade Matcha Powder: Family-farmed in Kagoshima, Japan, our Ceremonial Grade Matcha is made with young green tea leaves ground and blended into a silky smooth powder. Both rich in caffeine for energy and L-theanine for focus, our matcha will help you stay energized without the jitters or the crash. 7 oz (200 servings) Packed with Nutritional Value: All of our matcha comes from the first harvest of the season, using younger shade-grown leaves from the very top of the plant specifically chosen for high nutritional value and a smooth flavor profile. With 10x the antioxidants normally found in green tea, our Matcha Powder will help boost your immune system and set you up to take on any challenge. Authentic Japanese Origin: Blended and crafted by our co-founder Max Fortgang, our matcha is certified ceremonial grade by our tea master in Kagoshima, Japan. Our tea master is one of only 15 in the world with a 10th level “tea master” or “chashi” certification, working to craft the smoothest ceremonial grade matcha in the world. High-Quality Matcha: We work with family-owned farms that use only the best practices and machinery specifically built for the production of matcha under the supervision of our tea master. Our matcha powder is non-GMO, gluten-free, vegan, & sugar-free. Our Story: In 2014, brothers Max & Graham Fortgang developed their own blend of ceremonial grade matcha and opened America’s first matcha cafe, MatchaBar, in Brooklyn. They’ve been spreading the word across the country ever since, giving people the energy to be themselves one matcha at a time.
